Tuesday 14th November.

If I had only known the grazing team were going today I could have avoided a soaking! Never mind. I am reassured that my assessment that they were all fit and well accorded with theirs.

Tuesday 14th - Grazing Team Visit

Hi All,

We came today to check on our treated limper to see how he was getting on and also look at this new reported limper.

All 19 seen and well, the original limper we treated before putting on was very well. He even jumped up trying to get into the bucket. Rest and dryer ground seem to have improved him greatly. He's now no longer limping. (He has a mostly Black face and blue and yellow ear tags).

After inspecting the rest of the flock we couldn't see any additional limpers. Everyone ran to the bucket well and after looking at them graze no one was holding a leg funny. It could have just been a sprain one developed over the weekend that's gotten better over the days. The white one with black patches around her eyes and no horns seems a little stiff but not lame. It could just be dur to the chilly wet conditions, she's older so it may be of mild arthritis. We'll keep an eye on her.

Thank you for checking! The weather has been particularly miserable lately so we really appreciate you coming out to check.

Mon 13th

Pam reported that both limping sheep are still limping, but that all else is well. This is one of the limping sheep. Grazing team will visit this week to assess how they are doing.

Saturday 11 November 2023

All 19 were in Bay 3 in the trees, the lame one is still hobbling but there was also another darker coloured one who is very lame on a front knee. It’s behind the white one with the black eye patch in the picture. All the rest were moving about well.

We checked the sheep this morning, Thursday 9/11/23, and they were all present and moving. The lame one was walking with the rest, but with a big limp. They were all clustered together in the little copse in Bay 2 near where the wheelbarrows are stored sheltering from the wind and rain.
